Who we are

At BikePro we have a proud passion for all types of mountain and road cycling endeavors. It is our aim and pleasure to provide the very best service possible to our customers.
We work very hard and are dedicated to providing high quality parts and labor at affordable prices. Since we opened our doors in July 2001, we have sold hundreds of bikes and offered specialty advice to countless satisfied customers from every state in Australia. Our specialist team has devoted itself to the promotion of not only local cycling but also cycling all over the country.
All staff at bikepro are not only passionate fellow cyclists, but also trained mechanics, who pride themselves on presenting the best service and advice. Here at BikePRO, our pricing is very competitive to make cycling more affordable to our customers. But pricing is only a small part of the BikePRO experience.
We also offer an extremely fast delivery service to customers right across Australia. As riders we understand that you need your order as soon as possible, so we make it our mission to deliver the goods as fast as humanly possible. Whether its a titanium water bottle cage bolt or Campagnolo group set, if its in our stock, it will be sent out the day you order it. Our aim is next day delivery, which is made easier as local post office is located 10 meters from our shop front. BikePRO's success has been strongly due to the dedication of the staff members, Andy, Nick and Joe. All of whom ride and are passionate cyclists.
All 3 members of staff come from strong cycling backgrounds, although very different.

Andy

Andy Choy, proprietor of bikePRO has been involved in cycling for over 30 years. In 1974 he started road racing and ten years later he had become the Hong Kong National Champion, represented Hong Kong at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games, placed 4th in the prestigious GP de Aalst in Belgium and ridden the Australian Commonwealth Bank Classic.

Having completed the 'United States Sports Academic' coaching diploma, Andy went on to become the National Coach of the Hong Kong cycling team. Highlights of his coaching career were the success of Wong Kam Po and David Miller. Under Andy's guidance, Wong became the world point race Champion. Miller later became World Time Trial Champion and wore the yellow jersey at the Tour de France.

Between 1983 and 1995 Andy ran a road bike only Pro Shop in Hong Kong that stocked the latest cycling technology. Through the shop, Andy dealt with many Australians and eventually decided to immigrate to Australia in 1997. Starting a bike shop in Australia was harder than he expected - he did not expect the local bike industry to be so political! Unable to secure a road bike dealership, in 2001 Andy concentrated running bikePRO as a hard-core mountain bike shop. Not having any tattoos was another unknown obstacle he had to overcome, but he soon earned the respect of Victoria's hard-core downhill nutters!
